Summer is upon us and with the start of summer, I am ready fill to get my kids’ days back and fill them with fun.
I read once that most of our childhood memories are created on vacations or during the summer and as I think back on my own childhood, these seems to be very true. Last summer we were tied to the house with a pregnant mama and a massive kitchen remodel. But this summer, we are free to enjoy all that the days have to offer.
With that in mind, I decided to create a fun checklist of 50 activities to enjoy this summer. Somethings are geared towards the bigger kids and some are geared towards the littler ones… Some of it is super simple, some of it requires a little more work. All of it is based on creating fun memories for us all. You will notice the final item is “fill a journal of sketches & summer memories”. Since my girls need to keep up there writing skills over the summer I thought what better way to keep it up than to have them join in documenting their summer. And what fun to see how they perceive the activities and fun. I am buying this journal to give to each of the older kids to use for their memories.
