This past weekend I had the extreme joy of witnessing the engagement of one of my dearest friends at the San Luis Resort in Galveston, Texas. While I usually love a private moment for an engagement, Payton totally knows Lindsey and could not have made things more perfect. He may just have changed my mind. And you can just see the pure joy, love and excitement on Lindsey’s face. It’s capturing moments like these that make me adore lifestyle photography.
Lindsey & Payton’s family and friends were hidden as the band began to play again and Payton cajoled Lindsey out to dance although the area was empty. And the next thing she knew, Payton was down on one knee and she was elated with shock. As we could tell that she said yes, the crowd broke into cheer and her laughter just grew, realizing that so many of her loved ones were there to share in the special moment.
And while I was technically just there to share in the memory and celebrating with one of my longest lasting friends, of course, I could not resist documenting the moments for her.
Lindsey, I love you my wonderful friend. And I wish you and Payton all love and laughter in your future together.
