Sometimes when I am planning my Friday Favorites posts, I need a minute to think about what I am really loving right now… other times, like today, it’s just beyond easy because I love something just that much. Alice + Ames girls dresses simply cannot be beat in my eyes.
I first stumbled upon these dresses while admiring a friends 5 year old twirling around while mom chatted after preschool. Her dress spun up in the perfect picture of childhood – long enough to be modest, light enough to float into the air, grown up and unfussy yet completely age appropriate. It was instant love. I had to know where mom found that dress. All I could imagine was the portrait session possibilities…
When I got home and searched Alice + Ames, I was beyond excited to see that this perfect dress was not just a one off – oh no, so many color options, prints, stripes, solids. I knew I’d be recommending this brand to clients regardless of what type of session they were booking.
And then I ordered my own. Friends, when that package arrived, my girls and I were all blown away. The quality was as good as it gets. The fabric was soft and comfortable. And both girls loved how they felt in the dresses. There is just something about putting them on that makes my littles swish in the skirt – and it brings back memories of how I felt the first time I put on my wedding dress – they feel just as good about themselves in these dresses.
Over the past couple of years, the line has expanded and our closet has become over-flowing with Alice + Ames… a trend that isn’t stopping anytime soon.
And as an added bonus, as I have learned more about the brand, I have discovered that the owner is also a mother of four – all girls for Stacie – and she could not be any sweeter.
And the final kicker – today starts their big end of summer sale… So you know what I will be buying today!
