As moms, we are all too often on the back side of the camera. We are the family documentarian insuring that the soccer games, school parties and family vacations are remembered. But as we flip back through, there is often a feeling of “was I even there?” The reality is we are always there. We are there for every skinned knee, every late night feeding, every forgotten lunch rushed to the school. No matter the age or the stage, mom was there… often just out of the spotlight, lifting up and supporting our tribe, but always there. And at the end of it all, we only ask for a joyful smile, a moment of laughter or even a simple cuddle… it’s the smallest of payment for the long days and sleepless nights, but it’s all that we want… and that at the end of the day, they always remember that mama was there…
