To continue introducing my littles, this is my second, My Bear, short for Koala Bear…

Her given name has ties to Australia, a place I have always loved, and we could not have known how perfect that name could have been. Another climber, like my Monkey before her, but this one wraps her arms and legs around you and can hang on all her own – maybe not surprising now, but at 3 months when this started, insanely amazing…

She’s a little wisp of a child and just floats when you lift her…

Oh my Bear, my artist… All of my littles are very artistic, but she is the one who could wake up with the sun, go to the art table and stay there happily until well after the sun has set. Well, she is also my sleeper, so she would fall asleep at the art table like that photo – an all time favorite of mine… She also has the heart of an artist – full of passion. She loves big and she hurts big. She’s also a teacher – she turns on this voice and mode where her patience becomes supernatural and she sits happily instructing her brother on his colors or numbers & letters… And she is my comedian – she simply loves to make others laugh. She will push and push and push her limits to get past the trouble mark and into the parents can’t help but laugh zone…

it’s amazing because I feel like I could have just described my brother as a child. I love how that happens in families – personalities repeat and it strengthens love and memories all the way around…

XOXO
